onecue is a new gesture-based controller which lets you operate a wide range of entertainment devices, including set-top boxes, Apple TV, Nest and game consoles, with simple hand gestures.
The product has been developed by eyeSight, which provides touch-free interfaces to big brand manufacturers such as Lenovo, Philips and Toshiba, to help simplify the modern front room.
It can be mounted on top of a TV or placed on a shelf to wirelessly connect and control “nearly any device” and can be used with a repeater’ to control devices hidden in cabinets and located in adjacent rooms.
“Every device in our homes, from the TV to the games console to the thermostat, has its own control system and remotes, cables or apps for operation, resulting in lots of clutter and fragmentation,” said Gideon Shmuel, CEO of eyeSight.
“To solve this problem, we developed onecue, a control centre to bring together all of these devices through a natural, easy-to-use interface that leverages our years of experience in gesture recognition technology to let you experience your home through your fingertips.”
onecue is available for pre-order via www.theonecue.com at the introductory price of $129, discounted from the projected retail price of $199.
