Plantronics and Sony team up to launch PS sound system

August 17, 2014 - Staff@seenituk

plantronics_rig_gamingAudio specialists Plantronics have teamed up with Sony to release a new surround sound system for owners of its PlayStation and PS Vita consoles.

The RIG Gaming System has been designed for players looking for superior game audio and crystal clear chat, while keeping them connected to their smartphone music, notifications, apps and calls.

Featuring the distinctive PS logo, the headset provides gamers with precision stereo, crystal-clear voice and three EQ profiles: Pure, Intensify and Seismic.

The included audio controller lets them create and control the mix of side-chat, soundtrack or calls layered onto game sound, and lets them easily switch their mic feed between the game and mobile device.

“Whether in the living room or on the go, PlayStation offers immersive gaming experiences, and new, connected ways to enjoy media,” said Judy Ward, peripherals business manager at Sony.

“With its recognized commitment to innovation, Plantronics was a natural partner as we look for solutions that offer the high-quality audio and clear communication essential to deliver the best PlayStation experience.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with SCEE to deliver performance gaming audio for PlayStation gamers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Oceania,” said Gregory Morquin, gaming segment manager with Plantronics.

“We’re known for mobile, gaming and entertainment products that offer uncompromising sound, clear two-way chat, and unparalleled comfort. Offering ‘all of the above’ plus the ability to completely customise your gaming experience via the audio controller, the RIG for PS4™, PS3®, PS Vita™ is sure to excite consumers.”
