Sky Movie viewers to help decide festive schedule

October 28, 2009 - Staff@seenituk

SkyMoviesChristmasChannel_HP2Sky viewers are being asked to help decide the Christmas and Boxing Day schedules by voting for the films they’d like to see.

The vote opens today and the 20 most popular films will air on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. All those who have voted for the top twenty films will be put into a prize draw and twenty winners will be selected at random to win a prize package of 32” Samsung HD Ready TV, Sky+HD free for a year.

On 1st December Sky Movies will also launch a new ‘Sky Movies Christmas Channel’ offering movie fans all the festive themes big screen hits they could want plus specially selected movie ‘boxsets’ including Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and the Best of British Box Set including Italian Job and Quadrophenia.

Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies and Sky Box Office said, “Sky Movies is delighted to be dedicating a channel to Christmas this year and showcasing our biggest selection of movies ever in one season. The Sky Movies Christmas Channel isn’t about showing wall-to-wall Christmas movies just because it’s Christmas but offering great movies that everyone can enjoy at one of the few times of year when people actually get time to sit down as a family.”
