Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer is returning to Sky 1 after the broadcaster snapped up the UK rights to 24: Live Another Day.
The twelve part series is set in London and will follow Bauer as he attempts to stop a terrorist attack.
Mary Lynn Rajskub will reprise her role as Chloe, William Devane stars as James Heller and Kim Raver will play Audrey Raines.
Behind the scenes Howard Gordon returns to executive produce and Jon Cassar, who produced and directed 24 from seasons 2 to 7, will returns to executive produce and direct episodes.
Evan Katz and Manny Coto will serve as show runners and executive producers.
In addition to securing exclusive rights to the new story, Sky is making the entire 24 series available through its Sky On Demand service from February.
Sky’s Sarah Wright said “We’re thrilled to be bringing 24: Live Another Day to Sky 1 HD. We remain passionate about bringing the best of the US to Sky customers and the return of the iconic 24 is a hugely exciting TV event.”
Series star Kiefer Sutherland said, “24 has always had such a global sensibility. But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating.
“Hopefully, by the time you’re finished watching an episode, you’ll feel like you’ve been there…on the edge of your seat.”
