Sony Pictures Television is to revamp its channel line-up on Tuesday 10th September, creating what it bills as “the UK’s first free-to-air movie network”.
Sony Movies schedule highlights include Hitch, Air Force One, Vanilla Sky and Bad, while Sony Movies Action’s line-up includes Breakout, The Missionary Man, The Hunt for Eagle One and Bullet.
Sony Movies Classic, which debuts in January 2020, will draw from Sony Pictures’ storied and extensive Columbia Pictures movie library including Kramer vs Kramer, Gandhi, Oliver! and more.
The broadcaster will also rebrand and relaunch its True Entertainment channel as Sony Channel with a programme slate celebrating “iconic television and timeless entertainment” including Murder She Wrote, Charlie’s Angels, Starsky & Hutch, TJ Hooker and classic Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
All channels will be available on Freeview, Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media with a new modern and cinematic design.
