Sony’s TV arm has agreed to buy the UK’s CSC Media Group, giving the media giant 16 new channels and two additional Freeview slots.
CSC’s channels include The Vault, True Movies, plus a basket of children’s channels.
Sony Pictures Television operates the Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Movie Channel, Movies 4 Men, and Movie Mix.
The deal will see SPT Networks become the UK’s fifth largest multichannel operator based on commercial ad views.

“These new channels perfectly complement our current offerings, allowing us to provide viewers with a variety of entertainment choices and advertisers with greater reach and cross-channel opportunities.”
