The musical version of Stephen King’s terrifying novel Carrie is to receive its London premiere at the Southwark Playhouse – 27 years after it wowed audiences in Stratford-upon-Avon and Broadway.
Originally produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the play’s score and book were revised by original composer Michael Gore, lyricist Dean Pitchford and librettist Lawrence D. Cohen in 2012.
Its run at the Southwark Playhouse will be the first time the newly reworked and fully re-imagined version is performed on the London stage.
Casting is to be announced.
