Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey is joining the cast of Scream, the TV spin-off of Wes Craven’s iconic horror franchise.

The show is being rebooted for its third series with an all-new cast and plot line.

Posey joins the series as Shane, described by hollywoodreporter.com “as a drug dealer and party promoter who is always hustling in order to make money.”

Like Teen Wolf, Scream airs on MTV in the US and is available in the UK on Netflix. The streaming service also brought the final three seasons of Teen Wolf to British audiences after it was dropped by Sky.

Also joining the Scream cast for the show’s third run are Tyga, C.J. Wallace, RJ Cyler, Jessica Sula, Keke Palmer, Giullian Yao Gioiello and Giorgia Whigham.

The six-episode third season is expected to premiere in March 2018 and is being executive produced by a team which includes Queen Latifah.
