Sony has confirmed that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will return to a third and fourth instalment of The Amazing Spider-Man.
The due are already set to return for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on May 2, 2014.
In the second film Peter Parker (Garfield) hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that’s a promise he just can’t keep.
Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Sony has now confirmed that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will hit theatres on June 10, 2016 with a further follow-up, The Amazing Spider-Man 4, premiering on May 4, 2018.
“Spider-Man is our most important, most successful and most beloved franchise,” Sony’s Jeff Blake said. “We’re thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years.”
