Vodafone promises network boost for Welsh users

vodafone_storeVodafone has promised to upgrade its 3G and 4G network in Wales and says the work will give 94% of the Welsh population better indoor and outdoor network coverage.

The work is part of a £1bn investment in Vodafone’s UK network.

News of the upgrade came as the firm switched on its ultrafast 4G service in Caerphilly, Cardiff, Connah’s Quay, Llanelli, Newport and Penarth.

Jorge Fernandes, CTO for Vodafone UK, commented: “Our network improvements across Wales will ensure more people and businesses have the opportunity to thrive in today’s digital world, whilst the launch of 4G will give them the opportunity to access and share data faster than ever before.”
