WPC 56 series three coming to DVD next month

May 21, 2015 - Staff@seenituk

WPC_56_720Fans of BBC One’s WPC 56 will be able to buy the show’s third series on DVD from June 1st.

Pre-order your copy today.

It’s 1956 and WPC Annie Taylor (Claudia Jessie) is the one and only female officer in the Brinford police (a fictional town in the West Midlands). Hailing from a respected police family this way of life is in Annie’s blood, but as the first woman amongst them to join up, she has big shoes to fill, not least her fathers.

WPC 56 III transports us back to the atmospheric world of Brinford, with its heady mix of colour and music; Rock n’Roll juke joints, beauty contests and the cacophony of a police band.

This hides a dark underbelly of murder and secrecy in a time still seeped in wartime horrors, fuelling fears of fresh enemies in a future that’s far from certain.

Starring: Claudia Jessie, Charloe De’Ath, Oliver Rix, James Barriscale, Mark Healy, Liam Jeavons, Rachel Leskovac and John Bowler
