YouView says the recent addition of Netflix to its line-up of on-demand video apps means customers can enjoy more films and TV boxsets than ever before.

More than 30,000 hours of popular and top quality entertainment is now available from the platform’s free, pay per view and subscription on demand players.

Netflix highlights include Marco Polo, the streaming service’s brand-new drama series, Dallas Buyers Club and All Hail King Julian.

Households can also use YouView’s backwards programme guide to catch-up with any Christmas TV treats they’ve missed, including Victoria Wood’s That Day We Sang on iPlayer and the Man Down Christmas special on 4oD.

Plus there’s film action, including The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Boyhood from Sky Store and NOW TV.

TalkTalk and BT customers can also get extra content, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Equalizer via their ISP’s dedicated on demand players.

David Faulkner, Head of Business Development at YouView, said: “We’re delighted to give families the choice and flexibility to enjoy more films and TV box sets than ever before on YouView.

“Recently we’ve added Netflix, Quest OD from Discovery and 30-day catch up via the new BBC iPlayer. YouView just keeps on getting better, ensuring seamless and easy access to great TV for everyone.”
