CBS Studios’ new legal drama Reckless will get its UK premiere on UKTV’s crime-themed channel, Alibi.

Set in Charleston, South Carolina, the series sees ballsy and beautiful Yankee litigator Jamie Sawyer (Anna Wood) pitted against the ever charming Southern attorney Roy Rayder (Cam Gigandet) as they try to hide the obvious sexual tension bubbling between them, whilst a police sex scandal threatens to tear the city apart.

As Jamie and Roy spar in and out of the courtroom, dark secrets simmer behind every door and threaten to tarnish the genteel façade of seductive Charleston.

Catherine Mackin, Director of Programme Acquisitions, UKTV, who brokered the deal commented, “I‘m very excited to be working with CBS on such a fantastic new show that fizzes along at breakneck speed.  Reckless is exactly the type of series we’ve been looking to add to the Alibi slate.”

Stephen Tague, Senior Vice President, Europe, CBS Studios International, said, “We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship and remain committed to providing UKTV with high-quality broadcast series to all parts of their schedules.”

Alibi’s General Manager, Adrian Wills added “Reckless will sit perfectly next to Alibi’s other big US premiere series.  With two charismatic lead characters it has the right amount of ‘will they, won’t they?’ and a healthy dose of procedural crime drama and a brilliant cast, which Alibi fans will know and love.”
