Amazon has snapped up UK premiere rights to Constantine, a new live-action drama based on the DC Comics comic book series.
The series stars Matt Ryan (Criminal Minds) as John Constantine – a former demon hunter and master of the occult who returns to the fray after following a series of surprising events.
With the balance of good and evil on the line, Constantine travels the country, finding the supernatural terrors that threaten our world and sending them back to where they belong.
Episode one is already available to Amazon Prime Instant Video subscribers and new episodes will be available each week following their US premiere on NBC.
“Constantine is a great addition to the catalogue of spooky TV shows and frightening films already made available for unlimited streaming during our Halloween takeover, featuring alongside classics like The Craft and An American Werewolf in London and contemporary favourites like Warm Bodies,” said Chris Bird, Director of Content Strategy at Amazon Instant Video.
