AMC and BT confirm airdate for Rectify’s final season

AMC UK announced today that the fourth and final season of Rectify will premiere exclusively to BT TV customers from Tuesday 3rd January 2017.

The series follows Daniel Holden (Aden Young) who, after serving 19 years on death row waiting to die, is freed after concerns about the accuracy of evidence presented in his trial come to light.

Forced to return to his hometown, Daniel tries to find a way to cope with his past and forge a “normal” life with an unexpected future before him.

While doubts surround the circumstances of his original conviction, Daniel affects everyone he encounters in different and profound ways – his fractured family, his community and even complete strangers.

Created and written by Academy Award winner Ray McKinnon (The Accountant, Chrystal), the final eight-part season will be available free of charge in the UK to all BT TV customers on the AMC channel, number 332 on BT TV and BT Sport Pack subscribers on Sky channel 192.

AMC UK will present a marathon screening of seasons one to three across three nights, starting at 9:00pm on 20th, 21st and 22nd December, allowing viewers to catch up with the drama.

“I never knew imaginary people could be so demanding. Or rewarding,” said McKinnon.

“I will miss you Holdens and Talbots and folks of Paulie, GA. But I will surely think of you from time to time and ponder what you might be up to or up against as you live out your lives somewhere in my dreams.

“In the land of the living, I’m eternally grateful to the gifted writers, the tireless crew and the incomparable actors who helped me bring this world to life over the past four years, and to AMC Networks for giving this story a home.”
