Apple highlights Siri in new TV ads

February 10, 2012 - Staff@seenituk

Siri has helped sales of the iPhone 4S
Siri, the iPhone 4S virtual assistant, takes centre stage in two new TV ads released by Apple this week.

The ads showcase Siri’s ability (within the US at least, some features are not available globally) to find directions, restaurants, or send SMS text messages.

Last month it was reported Apple’s US iPhone sales are dominated by the new iPhone 4S, despite the company offering two cheaper models.

According to a consumer survey by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) , consumers have been wowed by Siri, the talkative personal assistant exclusive to the iPhone 4S.

Apple sold more than 37m iPhones in its most recent financial quarter, 128 percent up on the same quarter last year.
