Late November sees the “re-imagining” of classic Sci-Fi drama Survivors, based on the book by Doctor Who scriptwriter and Dalek creator Terry Nation.
Perhaps fittingly the cast includes former Doctor Who actress Freema Agyeman as Jenny, one of a group of bewildered but resilient group of survivors coping with the aftermath of a devastating virus which wipes out most of the world’s population.
It is an opportunity for new beginnings, but with no society, no police and no law and order. They now face terrible dangers – not just the daily struggle for food and water but also the deadly threat from other survivors.
The cast also includes Hotel Babylon star Max Beesley, Julie Graham, Shaun Dingwall and Paterson Joseph.
The series is available using the new “Series Stacking” function on BBC iPlayer which allows viewers to enjoy any episode, after its first broadcast, for the duration of the entire series.
There’ll also be a tie-in website where viewers can also decide how they would choose to live and find out what kind of survivor they would be.
