Despite a less than positive critical reception, the new Matt Lucas and David Walliams airport mockumentary Come Fly With Me has been recommissioned for a second run.
Launched over Christmas, the six-part series featured the Little Britain pair as a host of new airline and airport employees and featured guest appearances by Barbara Windsor, David Schwimmer and Rupert Grint.
Announcing plans for a second series, Mark Freeland, Head of in-house Comedy at the BBC said: “After such a flying start on BBC One, it’s great news that Matt Lucas and David Walliams will once again be filling the check-in desks, departure lounges and cockpits with their wonderful and weird characters.”
In a statement the BBC said filming and airdates for the new run “are yet to be decided while Matt and David fulfil other commitments.”
The first series of Come Fly With Me is available to buy from the seenit.co.uk store.
