BBC Three’s new sitcom Siblings – which stars Charlotte Ritchie (Fresh Meat) and Tom Stourton (Live At The Electric) as the worst brother and sister in the world – will debut next month.
The duo play “dysfunctional” siblings Hannah and Dan who live together and, through their selfishness and idiocy, wreck the lives of those around them – old friends, love interests, family members, and the unlucky individuals who just happen to cross their paths.
The first episode finds Dan suffering from boredom. With no friends other than Hannah, he’s left just moping about their flat, taking apart plug sockets and eating yoghurts in the bath for entertainment.
Not that Hannah cares – after all, she’s got a job. Hannah’s boss Andy (Steve Brody) is a functioning alcoholic – a fact that she regularly uses to her advantage; her working day tends to start at 11am with a smoothie and she’s out of the office by 2pm.
When Andy is sacked and replaced with determined Annette (Tracy Ann Oberman), Hannah realises she’s going to have to find a way to keep the status quo or actually – God forbid – work like a normal person.
In a moment of panic, she draws Dan into a web of lies that can only end badly…
The series debuts week commencing August 2nd – exact air date to be confirmed.
