Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser star in Extraordinary Measures, a tale of one man’s remarkable efforts to save his children from a life threatening disease, which hits cinema screens later this month.
The film was inspired by Pulitzer prize-winning writer Geeta Anand’s Wall St Journal article about the real-life John Crowley (played by Fraser in the film) and his battle to find a treatment for the severe neuromuscular disorder Pompe disease which two of his children were diagnosed with.
Ford also serves as executive producer and is credited with bringing the story to producers Michael Shamberg and Stacy Sher after reading Anand’s article.
Extraordinary Measure is released in the UK and Ireland February 26th 2010
