British digital mags win at Lovie Awards

Jamie-imageBritish titles Harrods Magazine for iPad, intoGardens and Jamie Magazine, a food and lifestyle magazine from Jamie Oliver, have been recognised at the pan-European Lovie Awards.

Now in their third year, the awards recognise the “unique and resonant nature” of the European digital community – including online and digital magazine publishers of all sizes.

Harrods won Gold in the magazine tablet category with Jamie and intoGardens both receiving Bronze accolades, with Jamie also scooping the People’s Lovie award.

The title is built using Future Publishing’s FutureFolio service which allows content owners to create media-rich interactive titles.

Editor Paul Dring says: “Winning the People’s Lovie Award for tablet magazines rounds off a very successful first year with the FutureFolio team.

“In that year we have built and launched an app that has also won Apple’s App Store Best of 2012 and have been guided throughout by FutureFolio’s expert knowledge.”

FutureFolio Sales Director Jon Benjamin added: “It’s a well deserved treat for Jamie Magazine to pick up a coveted Lovie Award – and the icing on the cake that we also won the People’s Choice vote.

“The Jamie team are a pleasure to work with and the digital magazine is an ideal showcase of just how powerful and effective FutureFolio can be.”
