BT has revamped its TV offering with the addition of five new channels and the introduction of a new “Entertainment Max” package for existing customers.
From today subscribers will see Comedy Central Extra, MTV Music, Movies 25, and H2 on their EPG, taking the total number of pay-TV channels offered by BT to 25.
Customers also get access to the full range of Freeview TV and radio channels via their aerial, including the BBC’s HD channels, ITV HD and Channel 4 HD.
The revamp also includes changes to BT’s TV Everywhere feature which lets customers watch the ISP’s pay-TV channels on their smartphone or tablet.
Previously only available to households taking a multi-room subscription, TV Everywhere is now available in a new £10 per month Entertainment Plus bundle.
The new Entertainment Max package bundles several popular add-ons, including TV Everywhere, an HD pack and extra kids channels for just £15 per month.
All packages include BT Sports and the option to subscribe to Netflix.
Today’s changes are the signs that BT is getting increasingly serious about its TV platform which is currently being supported by a major new ad campaign fronted by Ewan McGregor.
