BT Sport channels appear on YouView EPG

July 2, 2013 - Martin Hoscik@seenituk

bt_sport_youviewBT’s sports channels have appeared on YouView’s EPG, the first internet delivered channels to appear in the platform’s guide.

BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 , BT Sport 1 HD and BT Sport 2 HD have appeared on the guide at channel numbers 507, 508, 510 and 511 respectively for users whose boxes are connected to BT Broadband.

Broadcast from the Olympic Park in East London, the channels launch on August 1st and will offer football fans 38 Barclays Premier League matches per season.

They’ll also carry exclusive Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) coverage and 800 hours of live tennis, including the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships.

Sport-related entertainment shows including Danny Baker and Danny Kelly’s phone-in show and a chat show hosted by Clare Balding will also feature.

Test streams are already broadcasting on digital satellite for Sky customers who can gain free access by subscribing to BT broadband and non- BT broadband users who opt to pay the £12 per month fee.

In addition the standard definition versions of the channels appeared on Freeview’s EPG earlier this week.
