BBC One’s Children in Need returns next Friday (15th November) but one special viewer will be watching the telethon from their hospital bed.

Catherine Tate’s Nan finds herself taken ill and checks into Holby City – presenting the legendarily capable staff with their biggest challenge yet.

Holby star Tina Hobley says: “Over the years Holby City has faced flooding, riots and hostage situations – but nothing quite prepared us for the arrival of Nan.

Commenting on the mini-episode, Catherine Tate said: “I’m happy to be involved with Children in Need this year and wish you all the best for the night ”
