Channel 4 scoops two new Sony dramas for E4

Channel 4 has acquired two new dramas from Sony Television Pictures for its E4 channel.

Timeless, created by Eric Kripke (Revolution, Supernatural), Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and the producers of The Blacklist, follows a group of unlikely heroes thrust into the adventure of their lives. Chasing a mysterious group of criminals through time and encountering some of the most seminal moments in history, the group attempts to thwart a dark conspiracy that is a threat to all of humanity.

The drama stars Abigail Spencer (Rectify), Matt Lanter (90210), Malcolm Barrett (Hurt Locker), Goran Visnjic (ER), Sakina Jaffrey (The Mindy Project), Paterson Joseph (The Leftovers), Susanna Thompson (Arrow) and Claudia Doumit (Scandal). The series debuted very strongly on NBC earlier this month has been acquired by over 80 countries worldwide.

Starring Kevin James (The King of Queens), Kevin Can Wait charts the ups and downs of newly-retired police officer Kevin, who is looking forward to spending more quality time with his family. But he quickly discovers he faces tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets.

The series had a very successful launch on CBS earlier this month and is currently one of the most popular comedies on the network.
