Cinema-style trailer for West End play praised

A cinema-style trailer for West End play Deathtrap has been praised by The New York Times for being “creative, resourceful and contemporary”.

London based advertising agency Dewynters worked with the play’s producer David Pugh to produce two versions of the trailer featuring West End legend Simon Russell Beale and Glee star Jonathan Groff.

The US paper has heaped praise upon the trailer, saying that it had “production values that rival anything to come out of today’s Hollywood horror movie machine”.

The paper went on to add “watching this trailer won’t give anything away, but it will make you wonder why more Broadway plays can’t be this creative, resourceful and contemporary when it comes to promoting their shows”.

Previews for Deathtrap open at the Noel Coward theatre later this month, tickets can be booked from www.deathtraptheplay.com
