Daleks invade Newcastle ahead of live music show

Dalek_invasion_NewcastleNewcastle residents have been warned to take care after a pair of Daleks were spotted lurking around the city.

It’s thought the intergalactic baddies may have escaped from a secure holding area being used to store them and other alien creatures ahead of their appearance in the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular which plays at the Metro Radio Arena in the city on Thursday 28th May.

Troops from UNIT – a multi-nation taskforce which sometimes assists the Doctor – have been deployed to recapture the metal menaces.

The show combines live music alongside in-arena appearances by the show’s various foes and monsters and clips from the series and has already played to sell-out crowds in Australia and New Zealand.

Conducted by Ben Foster, it features over 100 performers including members of the BBC National Chorus of Wales.
