Sony and Columbia Pictures have released this cast photo to mark the start of pPrincipal photography on there adaptation of Dan Brown’s Inferno.
Tom Hanks reprises his role as as Robert Langdon and is joined by The Theory of Everything’s Felicity Jones and Slumdog Millionaire’s Irrfan Khan.
When Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s “Inferno.”
The film also stars French actor Omar Sy and Sidse Babett Knudsen, star of the Danish television series “Borgen,” as World Health Organization boss, Dr. Elizabeth Sinskey.
Director/producer Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer will oversee the film alongside executive producers Dan Brown, Anna Culp, Bill Connor, and David Householter.
With cameras now rolling, Howard said, “I’m so excited to be starting production on our third Robert Langdon film.
“Audiences everywhere have shown a tremendous appetite for the Robert Langdon adventures and Inferno has all of the intrigue and action they could want.”
The film is slated for release on October 14, 2016.
