Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular – new artwork

April 20, 2015 - Staff@seenituk

To celebrate the forthcoming Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, the event’s producers have released this special image paying homage to the classic Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album

The design features a range of characters, past and present, including the Fifth Doctor Peter Davison who will be presenting the tour.

Also included are the current and last three incarnations of the Doctor – Peter Capaldi, Matt Smith, David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston – as well as their respective companions, plus a host of the Doctor’s villains and foes.

The show combines live music alongside in-arena appearances by the show’s various foes and monsters and clips from the series and has already played to sell-out crowds in Australia and New Zealand.

Conducted by Ben Foster, it features over 100 performers including members of the BBC National Chorus of Wales.

Davison, who played the Doctor for three years in the 1980’s, served as host at both earlier tours and has said he’s “very excited” to return for the UK run.
