DVD release for The King’s Speech

Fresh from wining a clutch of Oscars and BAFTAs, The King’s Speech comes to DVD and Blu-ray next month packed with extorts which include speeches from the real King George VI, played in the film by Colin Firth.

Based on the true story of George VI’s struggle to overcome immense personal difficulties on his way to the throne, the film explores the touching and intricate personal relationship between a reluctant king and the unconventional speech therapist, Lionel Logue.

With the threat of the Second World War growing on the horizon, the king must discover hidden worth to become the voice of, and inspiration for, the nation.

The film, widely acclaimed by cinema goers and critics alike, won four Oscars including Best Film and Best Actor as well as seven BAFTA Awards plus a Golden Globe Best Actor Award for Firth.
