Award-winning soloist Ellie Goulding is the star of a new short film which receives its premier today on music streaming site Vevo.
Written by Stefan Georgiou and Sam Bern, recently selected as Screen International’s Stars Of Tomorrow, Tom And Issy follows the titular flatmates as Tom whisks Issy away from her unappreciative boyfriend to drive around London for the day daring each other to do things they’ve never done before.
The short culminates in an open mic night in a rooftop bar where Issy hopes to find it within herself to sing in public for the first time. It’s a story that captures the intricate complications and excitement of falling in love.
Directed by Roger Michell, whose previous credits include Notting Hill, Changing Lanes, Venus and recently Le Weekend, the film was shot entirely on a Nokia Lumia 1020.
