Michael Kitchen returns to ITV this weekend in a brand-new new three-part series of Foyle’s War.

In the new stories Foyle is now a Senior Intelligence Officer gathering intelligence in support of Britain’s security, defence and the Government’s foreign and economic policies.

At the heart of the British establishment Folye encounters corruption, communist sympathisers and traitors and will need all his intelligence, guile and intuition to keep the country safe.

The first episode is called The Eternity Ring. In July 1945 a military convoy arrives in the New Mexico desert carrying Professor Michael Fraser, a British nuclear scientist, and his wife, Helen Fraser.

Another scientist, Max Hoffman, is waiting for them, and he takes them into a bunker where they watch the explosion of the first nuclear bomb together.

One year later, a cypher clerk, Aleksei Gorin, steals secrets from the Soviet Embassy in London. He is chased by NKVD agents but manages to escape…

Sunday 24 March at 8pm on ITV and ITV HD
