Frank Skinner’s The Rest Is History to air in December

November 17, 2014 - Staff@seenituk

Frank_SkinnerFrank Skinner’s new history-based comedy panel show will debut on Radio 4 next month.

While the comic loves history, he says he doesn’t know much of it, so he devised The Rest Is History to boost his, and viewers’ knowledge.

Along with his historian in residence Dr Kate Williams, each episode will see Skinner joined by a selection of celebrity guests who will help him navigate his way through the annals of time, picking out and chewing over the funniest, oddest, and most interesting moments in history.

Guests include David Mitchell, John Lloyd and Dave Gorman.

The Rest is History is an Avalon Television production commissioned by Caroline Raphael, Commissioning Editor, Comedy and Fiction for BBC Radio 4.

The series is co-produced by Dan Schreiber (co-creator & producer of BBC Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity), and Justin Pollard (Historian, author, columnist and historical advisor for productions including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Tudors and Vikings.
