Disney has confirmed Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will be available on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD from 11th February.
All versions are now available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk.
The stop-motion, black and white animated film, which tells the heart-warming tale about a boy and his dog, received its European premiere at last year’s 56th BFI London Film Festival where Burton was presented with the BFI’s highest honour, the BFI Fellowship.
The 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray versions include an all-new original short “Captain Sparky vs. The Flying Saucers”; an exciting behind-the-scenes featurette with Tim Burton “Miniatures in Motion: Bringing ‘Frankenweenie’ to Life”; a showcase of the film’s touring exhibit, “‘Frankenweenie’ Touring Exhibit”; Tim Burton’s original live-action short and more.
The resurrected canine Sparky returns in a brand new unseen original short: ‘Captain Sparky vs. the Flying Saucers’ which debuts on the Blu-ray and DVD release featuring Victor and Sparky’s home movie.
The exciting feature propels Sparky into action when an alien spacecraft threatens life on Earth, but can he save the day?
