The new season 4 Game of Thrones soundtrack album is now out – the perfect addition to any fans’ Christmas stocking.
Composed by Ramin Djawadi who has written the music for the entire series, the album includes a version of “The Rains of Castamere” as performed by acclaimed Icelandic post-rock artists Sigur Ros in a mid-season cameo.
The song, written by Djawadi and author George R.R. Martin, has appeared sporadically over the course of the series including, most famously, during the Season 3 episode which featured the fabled Red Wedding and celebrates the heritage and power of House Lannister.
Order from the official HBO shop.
