HBO Max’s UK launch highlights revealed

HBO Max has revealed more details of the content viewers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch when the service launches later this month

The streaming service’s line-up will span TV and film titles from all genres including drama, comedy and factual while an additional sports add-on, giving access to TNT Sports will also be available.

Back catalogue highlights include HBO hits such as Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Sex and the City, Veep and Entourage, plus titles from the wider Warner Bros. Empire including The Big Bang Theory and Friends. 

New titles include hit US medical drama The Pitt plus Jason Bateman and David Harbour’s DTF St. Louis, Steve Carell’s Rooster and Lisa Kudrow’s The Comeback which will air its third season on the service.

They’ll be joined by full boxsets of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Euphoria, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and House of the Dragon.

HBO Max will also offer the studio’s international content including France’s The Seduction, Mexico’s Like Water For Chocolate S1 & S2 and Italy’s Portobello. 

Highlights from the film catalogue include Superman, One Battle After Another, plus The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and The Conjuring film collections. 

The service’s launch will mark the first time HBO’s latest content is available to UK audiences without the need for a Sky subscription. Viewers will be able to sign up direct at hbomax.com with prices starting from £4.99 in the UK and €5.99/month in Ireland.
