Drama series Hit & Miss is released on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally on 2 July 2012, courtesy of FremantleMedia Enterprises.
Created by Paul Abbott, the drama has been thrilling Sky Atlantic audiences since it launched in May and can now be enjoyed by non-Sky subscribers for the first time.
The series stars Chloë Sevigny (Boys Don’t Cry, American Psycho, Big Love), Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood, Prisoners Wives), Peter Wight (Titanic, Babel) and Karla Crome (Misfits) and follows Mia (Sevigny), a hit woman with a dark past and big secret: she is a transsexual.
Mia’s world is rocked when she receives a bombshell letter from ex-lover, Wendy, who reveals not only that she is dying, but that Mia has fathered an 11-year-old child, Ryan.
Travelling to a tiny village in West Yorkshire to meet her son and the rest of Wendy’s farmhouse clan, Hit & Miss follows Mia as she attempts to mix her killer instincts with her new maternal ones, in a search for her own identity.
Attempting to balance her new life as a parent with an unconventional career and lifestyle, the series tracks Mia’s struggle to live in limbo surrounded by pre-conceived ideas and expectations. A lethal killer at the heart of a troubled family in the middle of nowhere is where the series begins.
