How Will Game of Thrones End?

Warning: This post contains a lot of spoilers from all seasons, including the season 7 of the Game of Thrones.

“When you play the Game Of Thrones, you win or you die”. The show has lived up to the expectations of this phrase from the series. The plots became interesting and complications began to increase.

Every Game of Thrones fan is anxiously waiting for the Season 8 and has this one question that will soon start a Wildfire in his brain: “How Will Game of Thrones End?”. As we are marching towards the Season 8 the plots are getting better and better.

We studied and tried various theories thoroughly through Game of Thrones Online Casino versions as well as by following Games of Thrones Pros and came up with some predictions regarding the end of A Song of Ice and Fire. Without wasting any time, let’s incise through all the mournful deaths and discover some credible scenarios which will help you in finding out how it all ends.

Jon Snow will sit on the Iron Throne
It is not very difficult for us to imagine that Jon Snow will take the iron throne. After all, it just took two episodes for magical Jon Snow to come back to life. Every time Jon Snow gets into deadly battle, he beats the odds and gets saved. Also, Jon Snow is a secret Targaryen named Aegon. It is believed that he is the rightful heir to the throne.

A Reddit user recently suggested that Jon Snow is indeed the prophesied Azor Ahai reborn. The 10th episode of the 6th season revealed one of the most interesting things, R+L=J. And if you are an avid Game Of Thrones book reader, you will immediately get to know about who Jon Snow’s real parents are. If you guessed, Rhegar and Lyanna then you are absolutely right. However, though this was a significant revelation, there was another string attached to the scene. HBO specifically focused on the scene in which young Ned Stark is seen placing  Ser Arthur Dayne’s sword near Lyanna’s bed while she drenched in blood. This was a significant move because Ser Arthur Dayne’s legendary sword, Dawn, was believed to be crafted from the heart of a fallen star. The whole scenario ascribes to prognostication of Azor Ahai, the one who will lead the glorious battle between the living and the dead.

Jon has even convinced Davos to pick a cluster of houses in the North by talking about the war against the dead. Also, Jon showered his charm on his beloved aunt, Daenerys Targaryen at Dragonstone and made sure that the Targaryen armies were by his side. Bending the knee in the season 7 must have cracked his image, however, if he manages to arm his soldiers with deadly weapons built from mined dragonglass, he could seemingly beat the King in the north. If he maintains his relationship with Daenerys Targaryen, a.k.a Dany, he just needs to show Cersei his roots and dethrone her. Also, if the Iron Throne goes to his aunt, Jon Snow is still in a winning situation.

Daenerys Targaryen will sit on the Iron Throne
Daenerys Targaryen looks all set to win the Iron Throne and rule the seven kingdoms. With the help of her army of Unsullied, Dothrakis and any laggard survivors from the House Tyrell. However, Unfortunately, Euron made a surprise attack on her and which killed a huge number Grejoys in her army. It also left the Dornish Sand Snakes dead. The threat of White Walkers also forced her to drop the fight with Cersei.

After being one dragon down already, Danerys will have to use the power of her two dragons to outplay the Night King’s army of the dead. Even Cersei thinks that the one who has efficient methods to surpass the dead is none other than Dany. With her strong connection with dragons, and considering everything that is involved with the killings of White Walkers, and wights’, Dany probably seems to have the highest chance of beating the dead.

King Aerys II Targaryen, popularly known as the “The Mad King” was the last member of the house Targaryen to rule from the Iron Throne. He tried to single handedly hold the King’s Landing. However, if Daenerys sits on the Iron Throne, she can rule the city and simultaneously protect the interests of people.

Cersei Lannister will sit on the Iron Throne
For everyone else in the race, having someone else of their house sit on the Iron Throne is equivalent to winning. However, this is not the case with Cersei. Cersei, the first queen of the Seven Kingdoms has only one motto. At any given moment, she trusts the one who she perceives as her family.

In “DragonStone”, one of the episodes of the seventh season, he mentions about making a dynasty for just the two of them. However, initially, it felt that she was talking about her longtime incest lover, Jamie Lannister. However, as the season finale began to unfold, it seemed that the second party won’t be Jamie Lannister but instead, their next child. Cersei already holds the Iron Throne and to keep her children safe from the undead and her family, she will probably kill her dearest companion, Jamie Lannister.

Cersei loves to defeat her enemies. She has conquered almost every obstacle that has come in her way. With Army of the Dead probably being worn out because of fighting with everyone up in the North, Cersei will have a dainty advantage. By putting Qyburn’s brain to a solution, Cersei can race herself towards the final destination.

Also, we all know that King’s Landing has a stockpile of resources. Cersei might also affix a massive attack with leftover wildfire against the Army Of the Dead. Though Cersei seems like a villain, she is fierce and determined about retaining the Iron Throne and is willing to kill absolutely everyone.

Tyrion Lannister will sit on the Iron Throne
There is a remote possibility, the one that has not been at least proven wrong yet, that Tyrion Lannister is a secret Targaryen. Though the TV show has not spoken much on this possibility, the books reveal that the Mad King Aerys coveted after Tyrion’s mother and could possibly be his father. If this scenario happens to be true, Tywin’s hatred for Tyrion will escalate even further, not to mention, the stress he has to go through in order to cover up what happened to his wife. If Tyrion is actually a Targaryen, he would be able to ride the dragon. Also, in one of the scenes, he managed to unchain the dragons without getting burnt.

Tyrion is currently the hand of the Queen and has a considerable experience in managing the affairs of King’s Landing and Meeren. However, it is quite difficult to imagine Tyrion Lannister being the king with Daenerys Targaryen still living. However, Tyrion Lannister would probably be a better fit for the king’s position that Jon Snow.

Euron Greyjoy will sit on the Iron Throne
Euron Greyjoy was one of the most epic surprises of the seventh season. Though he was a late addition to the story, his capabilities and powers are monumental. He controls the Iron Fleet and so can turn out to be of a great advantage to Cersei. If Euron helps Cersei win wars, he has been promised that he can marry her. If he actually marries Cersei, he would be the King and House Greyjoy will rule the throne.

While everyone is marching towards the North to defeat the Night King, Euron Greyjoy is silently sailing to acquire a mercenary group in Essos, the Gold Cloaks. Once Jamie Lannister abandons his sister, Euron can make side deals and make better offers to the armies in transit. As the story will progress, Euron will be left with two options. He can either choose to fight the Army of the Dead or wait until they defeat most of the mainland and become vulnerable. Once they become weak, he can easily kill the Night King. Either way, Euron Greyjoy seems to have the Iron Throne well within his reach.

The Targaryen baby will sit on the Iron Throne
The finale of season 7 has a lot of references to babies. Daenerys has repeatedly said that she is infertile. Also, John Mormont asked Jon Snow to keep his sword to give it to his children. All these possibilities point to the revelation of a miracle baby, possibly an outcome of mild Targaryen Incest. If Jon Snow and Daenerys successfully defeat the Army of the Dead, their baby would become the rightful successor to the throne.

George R.R Martin has asked the Game Of Thrones fans to expect a ‘Bittersweet’ ending. So probably one of the parents of the miracle baby dies. Either Jon Snow might die in the battle with the White Walkers or Daenerys dies taking back King’s Landing. Maybe Targaryen baby might be sworn into leadership at a very young age while someone like Jorah Mormont acting as the protector of the Realm while baby came of age.

Baby Lannister will sit on the Iron Throne
There is another incest child that may sit on the Iron Throne, Cersei’s kid. However, for the baby to win the throne, its both parents need to die. Prediction Maggie the Frog, seen in the first episode of Season 4 coupled with novel’s interpretation suggests that Cersei might get killed by a ‘valonqar’. ‘Valonqar’ means little brother in valyrian.

Many people think that the killer could be Jamie, her twin brother born moments after her. It could also be Tyrion, her actual little brother. On the other hand, if Cersei were to have a boy, he would be  ‘valonqar’ to her previous. WELL!

Bran sits on the Iron Throne
Bran is probably the most wonderful character in the show. He is capable of traveling into the past and set a time loop that can change history. When Bran becomes the Third Eyed Raven, he just temporarily detaches himself from his physical presence.

If Bran can actually change the past in such ways, he can do one more thing. He can travel back in time and stop Ned Stark from traveling to King’s Landing and become King Robert’s hand. Ned Stark can then tell Jon snow about his true parentage. Though Bran’s abilities cannot drastically change the history but can definitely assist in providing portals between time periods.

Also, Bran is the oldest living male Stark. So he is the rightful heir to Winterfell and Warden of the North.
