The original James Bond stories are to be republished this year, in time for Daniel Craig’s latest cinema adventure as the iconic British spy.

The books will be available in both paper and eBook formats this summer after Ian Fleming’s estate signed a new publishing deal the Random House.

Under the the 10-year deal, Random’s Vintage Publishing imprint will take over publishing rights from Penguin.

Vintage is a sister imprint of Jonathan Cape, who published the original editions starting with Casino Royale in 2953.

Richard Cable, Managing Director of Vintage, said the imprint were “excited to welcome Ian Fleming’s books to the Vintage list for the first time and to reunite him with Jonathan Cape, the original publisher of his work.”

Cable added: “We are hugely looking forward to working with Ian Fleming Publications Ltd to relaunch the list in 2012, a year which marks the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, Dr No, and sees a new 007 adventure hit the big screen.’
