Virgin Media and the UK operations of Orange and T-Mobile are the target of an investment consortium looking to create a new entertainment giant, the Times reports.
According to yesterday’s Times, the bidders are headed by Tom Alexander, former boss at Everything Everywhere which operates Orange and T-Mobile in the UK.
The deal, which has reportedly not been discussed with Virgin Media, would create a company large enough to rival Sky and BT which last week grabbed two sets of Premier League rights for its BT Vision TV service.
