IREX unveils new eBook reader

January 15, 2010 - Staff@seenituk

IREX_FRONTAL_book_GREuropean eBook manufacture IREX has announced a new, 8.1″ reader which is set to hit stores across the continent from January 18th.

The DR800S, which will also be available from the IREX Web shop, supports the industry standard ePub format and IREX claims a “unique screen surface” offers users a more natural reading experience. Navigation is achieved via button or stylus and the screen allows users to change margin widths as well as the usual text size increase/decrease option.

“The DR800S offers a powerful combination of distinctive design and functionality that make it so good at what it’s built to do – providing users a true reading experience that far eclipses what they’d get from a multifunction device,” said Hans Brons, founder and CEO, IREX Technologies.

If you’re won over by the dazzling looks beware, the cost including VAT weighs in at £449/€499.
