John Lewis has grabbed exclusive rights to the new Orbitsound M series soundbars.
Made from high gloss, hand-painted wood, the M9 and M12 soundbars feature a wireless subwoofer, Bluetooth streaming and Orbitsound’s patented ‘spatial sound’ technology for a truly immersive experience.
The units retail for £299 and £399 respectively.
Bluetooth connectivity allows users to play music from their smartphone or tablet without the need to connect to the soundbar with messy cables.
The wireless subwoofer offers greater flexibility for placing the device in the lounge, again eliminating unsightly wires.
The soundbars are the latest addition to the retailer’s line-up of home entertainment products.
John Kempner, buyer for Vision at John Lewis said: “The Orbitsound T series soundbar was a great success for us and we expect the new M series, which delivers a pure and clean sound at high or low volumes, to be very popular with our customers.”
Unlike some of its competitors, the coffee tables to Kindles retailer is enjoying a sales boom, with gross sales of £3.78bn, up £448.3m, 13.5% on the previous year.
On Thursday it announced that its staff, who own the company, would share a £211m bonus windfall.
