Johnny English triumphs at the UK box office

Rowan Atkinson’s Johnny English Reborn has took almost £5m at the UK box office on its opening weekend.

The film marks the return of the accident-prone MI5 agent English to the big screen after an absence of eight years.

Joining Atkinson are Dominic West, Gillian Anderson, Daniel Kaluuya and genuine ‘Bond Girl’ Rosamund Pike.

The film took £4.97m, topping the UK charts.

Tomas Alfredson’s big screen adaptation of John le Carre’s classic spy thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy fell to third place after three weeks at the top.
