ebook retailer Kobo has said its newly launched newspaper and magazine subscription service, currently only available in North America, will be rolled out “globally”.
The latest update to the retailer’s iPhone and iPad app introduced a new news and magazine screen alongside a ‘Newsstand’ page on their website however both the website and app currently only display content to North American customers.
Responding to enquiries from this site, a Kobo spokesman confirmed that the company was “signing up publishers globally” for the service, promising that the North America-only version “is just the start”.
