BBC One’s Merlin comes to an end this Christmas but fans of the Smallville-esque take on the Arthurian legend can now re-enjoy the first six episodes of the final series on DVD courtesy of Fremantle Home Entertainment.
The episodes are split across the first two discs with the third hosting all the extras.
Your £13 gets you: six deleted scenes, two and a half minutes of outtakes, storyboards from the production and two adverts – one for the Merlin Dragon Tower at Warwick Castle and the second for Merlin: The Game.
That may not seem much of a horde, but many TV DVDs are still released with no extras at all so kudos to Fremantle for making the effort to offer something more than a bare bones release.
The ultra-low selling price makes this a great buy for anyone looking for a last minute stocking-filler and fans won’t want to miss the chance to own and re-watch the the show’s final series.
