Here are two great clips from Gold’s upcoming Monty Python’s Best Bits (mostly) which debuts next week.
The show celebrates the very best Python sketches and sees some of the biggest names in comedy give their thoughts on what makes the group so special.
Contributors, including Stephen Fry, Chevy Chase, Matt Lucas, Simon Pegg and Mike Myers, also reflect on how they’ve been influenced by the iconic comedy gang.
The show follows Gold’s broadcast of the Monty Python Live (mostly) – One Down Five to Go stage show which won the channel its largest ever audience of almost 1 million.
Gold will continue its appreciation of the Pythons with a special 90-minute documentary from BAFTA award-winning Roger Graef OBE and James Rogan.
Channel bosses have promised audiences “unprecedented access” to the five surviving Python members – John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin – as they look back on their careers and successes.
Monty Python’s Best Bits (mostly) starts on Monday the 3rd of November on Gold
