Following the news that the Muppets and DreamWorks’ Real Steel will be featured during Empire’s BIG SCREEN weekend celebration of film, it’s been confirmed that key members of the team from Industrial Light and Magic will be discussing some of the new content on the upcoming Star Wars Blu-Ray release.
The Empire Presents BIG SCREEN event will also offer a sneak peak at the hugely anticipated adaption of John Le Carre’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy starring Gary Oldman and Colin Firth.
Organisers Bauer Media have also confirmed the weekend will open with UK premiere of Paramount Pictures’ Cowboys And Aliens with members of the cast – which includes Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford – in attendance.
Former Doctor Who David Tennant will also be present to welcome attendees to a screening of the remade Fright Night in which he co-stars opposite Colin Farrell.
Other confirmed highlights include a screening of the much anticipated film adaptation of New York Times best seller The Help courtesy of DreamWorks Picture and comedy smash The Change-Up, starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman, courtesy of Universal Pictures;
Audiences will also be treated to exclusive sneak peaks of a huge array of forthcoming blockbusters, including the Guillermo Tel Toro-produced horror Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, James Cameron’s Titanic 3D, the Justin Timberlake sci-fi In Time, Alien invasion movie The Darkest Hour, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The London Film Museum will use to weekend to exhibit costumes form some of the big screen’s the most iconic movies including the Bourne Ultimatum, Highlander, Indiana Jones, Golden Compass, Johnny English and Conan,
There will also be displays of props from various film and television shows including Thunderbirds, Merlin, Borrowers and Doctor Who.
