The Muppets are coming to the 02 this summer as part of the Empire Presents BIG SCREEN weekend celebration of film.
Back in April we reported that studios 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures UK had joined forces with film magazine Empire to host a weekend of screenings, Q&A’s and master classes with actors and filmmakers at the iconic entertainment venue.
Organisers have now revealed that attendees of the August 12th-14th event will be able to enjoy a sneak preview of The Muppets long ahead of its official February 2012 cinema release and get to see The Muppets interviewed.
Equally exciting is a preview of Real Steel which doesn’t arrive on the big screen until October – you can view the trailer here.
The DreamWorks Pictures movie is described as “a gritty, white knuckle action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech” and star Hugh Jackman as a washed-up fighter and small-time promoter who reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender.
Director Shawn Levy will attend the weekend to show footage from the movie and talk about the film’s production.
