TV fans in the Channel Islands can now add Netgem’s SoundBox to their JT (formerly Jersey Telecom) mobile and broadband packages.
We loved the SoundBox when we reviewed it earlier this year and now JT customers can enjoy its combination of live Freeview channels and catch-up & on-demand content, including Amazon’s Prime Video, for just £4 per month.
The bundle also includes a year’s Amazon Prime membership, worth £79, meaning you can watch exclusive shows, including Man in the High Castle, The Grand Tour and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, at no additional charge for the first 12 months.
And the inclusion of the UK TV Play app means Channel Islanders can enjoy content from Dave, Drama, Yesterday and Really for the first time.
Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of Netgem TV said: “With the aim that great TV doesn’t have to come with hefty monthly bills, the UK TV industry has been launching many “skinny bundles” with a low entry cost and general “pay as you go” approach to premium content.
“We wanted to push a loyalty-first deal in order to be on top of the great free on-demand TV offered through Freeview Play – Consumers do not systematically want to renew their TV or pay for an expensive deal to enjoy great TV content – so we made this a reality.”
Dominic Vye, Head of Commercial Development at JT added: “We are delighted to offer the Netgem SoundBox to our customers.
“The SoundBox coupled with Amazon Prime has an exclusive selection of Prime Originals, thousands of popular movies, TV shows and over 50 million songs.
“All of which can be streamed in high quality audio in the home on JT’s full-fibre network in Jersey which provides Islanders with some of the fastest internet speeds in the world- all at no extra cost.
“We’re particularly delighted that our customers will now be able to watch more content through Freeview Play.”
