O2 to allow customers to switch between mobile tariffs every month

O2 has launched a new range of tariffs which allow customers to move between plans every month, given them “greater flexibility and control over their monthly bills.”

Being able to switch tariffs should help users manage occasional peaks in their usable without committing to a longterm increase in their monthly bill.

Customers can switch once every 30 days via the MyO2 app and the network says they’ll be warned if moving between plans will lose them any benefits, such as its recently launched free screen repair service.

O2 CEO Mark Evans said: “Today’s customers want even greater flexibility and control over what they’re spending.

“In 2013 O2 transformed the way consumers could purchase the latest mobile phones with the launch of O2 Refresh.

“With O2 Refresh customers don’t have to pay for a phone they already own, unlike customers of other networks.

“Now we’re going even further, offering customers complete flexibility by also giving them the ability to control the amount of data they use and pay for each month.”
